The circulatory system divided into:  The cardiovascular system, which consists of the heart, blood vessels, and blood  Lymphatic system, which consists of lymphatic vessels and lymphoid tissues within the spleen, thymus, tonsils, and lymph nodes.

Functions of the Circulatory System Transportation. a. Respiratory. b. Nutritive. c. Excretory. d. Regulatory. Protection. a.protects against injury and foreign microbes or toxins b.The clotting mechanism protects against blood loss in vessel damage c.Leukocytes may also protect the body through phagocytosis.

Nervous System

The nervous system is divided into the central nervous system (CNS), which includes the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system (PNS), which includes the cranial nerves arising from the brain and the spinal nerves arising from the spinal cord. The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is a functional subdivision of the nervous system. The controlling centers of the ANS are located within the brain and are considered part of the CNS; The peripheral portions of the ANS are subdivided into the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions.

Muscular System

Functions: (1) movement (2) heat production (3) body support and maintenance of posture

Muscle Attachment Skeletal muscles are attached to a bone on each end by tendons Tendon: composed of dense regular connective tissue binds a muscle to the periosteum of a bone. When muscle contracts it shortens tension on its tendons and attached bones Insertion more movable bony attachment of themuscle Origin less movable attachment of the muscle
