MAYLA Bylaws Amendment The Board of Directors proposes the following amendment to the MAYLA Bylaws: Programs in Good Standing Must have a zero balance for dues. Must have a zero balance for MAYLA Challenge. Must have at least one team participating within at least one season of a calendar year. Inactive Programs No MAYLA participation in two consecutive seasons. Lose privilege to vote on MAYLA issues. Requires a simple majority to reinstate. Loss of Membership Two years (4 seasons) without participation Must reapply for membership (requires 2/3 vote)

Player Eligibility Reminder LACROSSE ASSOCIATION •Jr Select (6th & 7th grade) no 5th grader may play Jr Select •Sr Select (7th & 8th) no 6th grader may play Sr Select Player Age Eligibility for Rec League   Grade Division 1st -3rd Bantam 4th – 5th Lightning 6th -7th Junior 7th – 8th Senior

Residency Waiver for Select Player Eligibility • MAYLA's Position on Residency Waivers: • Players who reside within high school districts having a Select Lacrosse Team are to play for that Select Program. Players who do not have a Select Program in their HS district are allowed to play for any Select Team and MAYLA requires an informal waiver to document those cases so that the league is made aware, prior to the start of the season, that a particular team has an out of district player(s). • MAYLA will also entertain waiver requests from parents of Players who reside within high school districts with a Select Lacrosse team but want to play for another Select Program. These waivers are carefully reviewed by MAYLA's respective Boys or Girls Rules & Competition Committee and the process is overseen by the MAYLA Executive Director. After the waiver request has been received by MAYLA, the head coach of each affected program will be consulted and if there is consent from each head coach, then the approval of the waiver would be looked upon favorably. If the coaches of both programs do not consent, then the leadership of the dissenting program would be consulted to ensure that the disagreement is just. If there is not agreement between the two programs regarding a particular out of district player, the waiver would not likely be approved. Of course there are always extenuating circumstances but these would be considered rare and unique and would be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Member Dues: Rec Division: U9 = $120 per team Rec Division: U11, U13 and U15 = $200 per team Jr. & Sr. Select = $250 per team After team commitment forms due, each program will be invoiced for their total amount of teams entered for that season. Programs will not be placed on the schedule until dues are paid in full. Programs who pull teams out after the schedule is complete are not entitled to a refund for their team fee. All payments should be made payable to "MAYLA" and sent to MAYLA Treasurer @ PO Box 4173 Marietta GA 30061
