What is MCAS-Pass?

MCAS-Pass is a website offering top quality math instruction through the MCAS-Pass Learning Lab

The MCAS-Pass Learning Lab operates in one of three modes: Test Simulation Mode 40 question modules with the look and feel of an online MCAS test. Tutorial Mode 25 question modules focusing on a concentrated area of study. Students may try each problem and then move into Review mode. Review Mode Test or tutorial module questions are reviewed. The student’s chosen answer is displayed and this is followed by a comprehensive and highly detailed step-by-step explanation of how to solve the problem successfully.

Tutorial Mode After attempting the problem, the student submits his or her answer to view a comprehensive and detailed, step-by-step explanation of how to solve the problem successfully. The system then operates in Review Mode until the next question is requested, at which time it reverts to Tutorial Mode. Question progress indicator A calculator is enabled or disabled (as shown) automatically depending on the question. Question presentation area 5 Formula Sheets pop up upon demand Each student enters his or her answer here.

Review Mode After the student is reminded of the answer he or she provided during the previously administered baseline or practice test module, a comprehensive and detailed, step-by-step explanation is presented in the lower frame. The question that appeared on the test remains available for viewing in the top frame at all times. Navigation controls allow the student to page back and forth among explanation screens, repeat the entire explanation, or move to the next question. A User Guide is always available too. Question progress indicator The review can be exited at any time, to be resumed at a later time.

School Licensing Programs Per Seat License Basic Site License Premium Site License Schools may purchase access to all 22 MCAS- Pass Learning Lab modules (a $502 value) for enrolled students at deeply discounted prices. There are three licensing options available:

Per Seat Licensing for Schools The school buys a license for a specific number of seats. (25 minimum, 500 maximum) Passwords and log-in information are issued to selected students by the school. The entire library of MCAS-Pass Learning Lab modules is available to registered students. Access to the MCAS-Pass Learning Lab is available via any Internet capable computer – at school, at the public library, or at home. The seat is non-transferable, permanently assigned to only one student. The student may use the MCAS-Pass Learning Lab until all modules are completed.

Basic Site License for Schools All enrolled students become eligible to receive passwords and user log-in information issued by the school. The entire library of MCAS-Pass Learning Lab modules is available to registered students. The license is issued for a specific term, a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 8 months (i.e., a school year). Seat registrations are non-transferable, permanently assigned to only one student. However, additional passwords and log-in information may be issued to enrolled students wanting to repeat the MCAS-Pass Learning Lab experience. Access to the MCAS-Pass Learning Lab is available via Internet capable computers at school only. Students may use the MCAS-Pass Learning Lab only during the term of the license agreement.

Premium Site License for Schools The Premium Site License is identical to the Basic Site License agreement in all respects with the exception that access to the MCAS- Pass Learning Lab is available to students via any Internet capable computer – at school, at the public library, or at home – not just at school.
