Why I am a member of the church of Christ because it teaches the Biblical way of Salvation. Acts 2:36-41

" Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, " Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter said to them, " Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.“ And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

WHAT Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, - 1 Peter 1:22

MUST Jesus answered and said to him, " Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, " How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?“ Jesus answered, " Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ' You must be born again. ‘ – John 3:3-7

I This word makes it an individual responsibility in the blessing of redemption. - Acts 2:38 “everyone of you”

DO Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. - James 1:21

What hinders me from being baptized?" Then Philip said, " If you believe with all your heart, you may.“ And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." Examples of Conversion Cornelius believed and was baptized And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days. - Acts 10:48

Examples of Conversion Lydia was baptized Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. 15 And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, " If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us. Acts 16:14-15

ONE MUST HEAR THE GOSPEL Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us…. – Acts 16:14 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. – Romans 10:17

ONE MUST BELIEVE THE GOSPEL though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, - Hebrews 5:8-9

ONE MUST BELIEVE THE GOSPEL Then Jesus said to them again, " I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come." So the Jews said, "Will He kill Himself, because He says, ' Where I go you cannot come '?"And He said to them, " You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.“ – John 8:21-24

ONE MUST REPENT OF SIN I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.“ - Luke 13:3-5

ONE MUST CONFESS CHRIST Then Philip said, " If you believe with all your heart, you may.“ And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.“ - Acts 8:37

ONE MUST BE IMMERSED He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. – Mark 16:16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. ‘ - Acts 22:16
