Eye contact *Eye contacts -Encouraged in America, Canada, Europe -Rude in most Asian countries and in Africa

ARMS *Some cultures, like the Italians, use the arms freely. Others, like the Japanese, are more reserved.

Postures In America, the stander is usually superior to the sitter in position, age, or status. However, the situation is just the opposite in China. The seniors usually assume a sitting posture and are in a dominant position.

LEGS AND FEET *In Asia, do not point with your toes. *Sitting cross-legged, while common in North America and some European countries, is very impolite in other parts of the world.

Tips for improving Body Language: SOFTEN Build a close relationship with the guests within 5 seconds.  S=Smile 微笑  O=Open Body Language 开放式肢体语言  F=Forward Lean 身子前倾  T=Tidy 整洁  E=Eye contact 眼神接触  N=Nod 点头 五秒钟内和客人拉近距离。
