14 Discussion 2. Can you guess what someone is thinking or feeling by looking at his or her body language? 1. Do people who live in different parts of China use different body language? ANSWERS: 2. YES:A person’s body language can tell us what he or she is feeling.eg,if some is nervous, his hands may shake.If a person smiles but his eyes don’t look happy,we can guess there is something wrong. NO:It is difficult to tell what a person is thinking by looking at his body language.Because people use body language in different ways and gestures may have different meanings in different areas.People don’t always think about their body language,so we may misunderstand them sometimes.And it is also possible for people to learn to use body language to hide what they are really feeling or thinking.
