Highlights: Oracle Software Upgrade Project  System Testing & Single User Performance Testing completed 6 th Apr 2007 as per plan and without any major defects. All defects have been resolved prior to moving into UAT and OAT phases.  User Acceptance Testing (UAT) completed with only highlighted 7 minor defects, mainly cosmetic.  Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) & multiple user Performance Testing (PT) completed with no performance degradation issues.  Shipper Confidence Phase completed successfully. Thanks to eon, Statoil and Electrabel for their time.  Confidence Testing included a number of API’s and On-Line Transactions

Implementation Strategy  Dress Rehearsal:  Currently in the detailed planning phase  Revised start date 23 rd July – delayed by 1 week  Implementation planning:  Planning commenced  Detailed implementation activities to include lessons learnt during Dress Rehearsal  Overall project status: Amber

Key Dates  Pre Cut-over Activities (23 rd July – 29 th July)  A number of pre-cutover implementation activities are required.  The most significant of these will require two of the current production servers to be taken out of service for approx 30 minutes each  Likely to be managed in maintenance window, therefore, no outage required  At any point one of the two servers will be available this will ensure continuation of service  Implementation Go / No Go Meetings:  9 th August (For implementation activities on 12 th August)  16 th August (For implementation activities on 19 th August)

Implementation Strategy  Phased over two weekends (12 th Aug & 19 th Aug)  Due to volume of servers which need to be upgraded  To ensure resilience and fall-back options  Keep outages at acceptable level for business, likely to be in the region of 7-8 hours (both weekends)  Schedule  12 th August – This will involve the removal of c.50% of production servers, which will be replaced with temporary production servers.  13 th -17 th August - the removed production servers will be upgraded.  19 th August – Swap the temporary servers with the upgraded production servers and the remaining c.50% of production servers will be upgraded.  Line Pack information will be provided by Transmission via an off line system during outages
