We invite you to...

 A structured, college prep system working directly with schools and districts.  A direct support structure for first-generation college goers, grades  A school wide approach to curriculum and rigor adopted by more than 3,500 schools in 45 states and 15 countries.  A professional development program providing training throughout the U.S. AVID is……….

AVID targets … Students with academic potential  Average to high test scores  2.0 – 3.5 GPA  College potential with support  Desire and determination Students who meet one of more of the following criteria  First to attend college in family  Historically underserved in four-year colleges  Low income  Special circumstances

Implemented in Fall of 2007 with 21 Eighth graders and 20 Ninth graders, the program now includes: We have grown! AVID in Franklin Township Schools 7 th Grade8 th Grade9 th Grade10 th Grade11 th Grade12 th Grade

Collected Data of our FT AVID students shows…  An improvement in attendance at school  An increase in state test scores  An increase in overall GPA  And an increased enrollment in AP classes by AVID students!

F*TEF and AVID in Partnership In the spring of 2010, the Board of Directors of the Franklin Township Education Foundation voted to provide financial support to ensure the future of the AVID program in Franklin Township Schools.

Budget for the AVID program at FTCSC… AVID Membership: 3 schools x $3,100 $9, Summer Institute for 11 Site Team Members (Includes registration, travel, stipends) 23,650 Tutors: 16 x 2 hours/week x 32 weeks x $25/hour 25,600 Teacher Salaries: 1 Full-time teacher (FCHS) 4 part-time teachers (FTMS East and West) 80,000 $138,550 provides financial support for AVID
