ACTIVITY Put the verbs into the past tense: Last Saturday Kennedy take a bus into KB. He want to buy a present for his mother’s birthday. His father had given him $80 and told him to choose something nice. First Kennedy go to a restaurant and paid $6 for a late breakfast. The restaurant.....is crowded and when he get up to leave he drop his money and he didn’t notice. He walk up the road to Millemewah and......go up to the second floor. There he see a beautiful bracelet and he decide to buy it for his mum. He put his hand into his pocket but find it empty. He panic and look around everywhere, and run back down the road to the restaurant. He ask the Manager if he had seen any money on the floor but the answer… is no. Kennedy didn’t know what to do. He have no money to get home and he know nobody in Kuala Belait so he start to walk along the road to Seria. He is shattered. “What am I going to tell my Dad?” he ask himself. Five minutes later a car go past and two heads appear at the window. Zulkifli and Laurence shout at him as they speed off down the road. Ten minutes later Nelson go by on his bicycle. “What are you doing?” he ask. “I’m walking home,” replyKennedy. “Why don’t you take the bus?” ask Nelson. “I’ve lost all my money,” Kennedy reply. “Well, I find $80 in a restaurant in KB,” say Nelson, “it is my lucky day.
