SOFLA Writing Exam – Tips and Tricks  You have one hour to answer four prompts which are written in English  You can answer them in the order you’d like at the speed you’d like  It is a fairly laid back exam, not high stress  Most of the questions are fairly basic. You’ll need to elevate the level – answer with as much detail and as thoroughly as you can even if the question seems super low-level.

Possible Questions  Your teacher asks you to write a journal entry describing your weekend. Use as much detail as possible.  Describe someone influential in your life. Talk about both physical attributes and personality.  Describe your room. Use as much detail as possible and describe why it reflects your personality.

Otros Preguntas Posibles  Describe your extracurricular activities.  Who is your favorite person? Why?  Describe the weather, things you do in it and the clothes you wear.  Describe yourself.  Write a letter to your host family explaining why you came home late (you were at a party).  Describe your daily routine.  Describe your town to an e-pal who may visit.  Describe a day at school to them.  Explain your family’s eating habits to them (remember they’re not from the US)  Your e-pal visits and your English teacher wants you to write a story about their visit
