2 Speaking Section 2 minutes each person! 0 You will have a conversation in Spanish with the teacher. 0 Talk about your weekly routine. Explain what you do each day. You must be the dominant part in the conversation. 0 Know Vocab 0 Know “Yo” forms of Verbs 0 The Teacher will ask you questions as well so know how to answer them in complete sentences. (Not just yes or no).

3 Reading/Listening Section 1 You will answer in English! 0 Listen as the teacher makes some statements. Listen to the time that is included in each statement and decide if it the sentence is logical or illogical accordingly. 0 Know how to recognize and tell time (a.m. and p.m.) 0 Know your vocab!

4 Reading/Listening Section 2 0 Listen to the teacher as she reads a story in Spanish and answer questions (written in English) in English about the story. 0 KNOW YOUR VOCAB! 0 Be able to recognize the main idea & details 0 Be able to recognize words you haven’t learned but should be able to figure out from context.

5 Reading/Listening Section 3 0 Read a short story in Spanish and answer questions (written in English) in English about the story. 0 KNOW YOUR VOCAB! 0 Be able to recognize the main idea & details 0 Be able to recognize words you haven’t learned but should be able to figure out from context. 0 Be able to put events in the stories in order.

6 Reading/Listening Section 4 0 Read a weekly agenda. 0 KNOW YOUR VOCAB! 0 Be able to answer questions about it.

7 Writing Sections 1-2 You will be answering in Spanish! 0 Pictures: Describe pictures. If there is more than one person you must make your verbs agree. Remember also that adjectives must agree in gender and number. 2-3 GOOD sentences about each picture. 0 Someone and I: Write paragraph about you and someone else. Describe what you do together. (Similar to the story you wrote in class and illustrated).

8 Writing Sections 3-5 0 Free Time: Write a paragraph about what YOU do in your free time. After school, weekends etc. You may include days of the week and since you are describing your own actions, make sure you are using the “Yo” forms of verbs. 0 Family: Write paragraph about your family. How many people? What do they do? Age? Describe them. Anything you know how to say. 0 Possession Translations: Translate some phrases into Spanish. This will involve using possessive adjectives (mi, tu, su, nuestro/a). Also, remember, there are no apostrophes in Spanish. An apostrophe gives you the clue to use “de” in your translation.

9 Reading/ListeningWritingSpeaking Are your answers to the questions correct? Can you recognize the vocab you learned in this chapter? Can you figure out some new words based on context? Can you identify the main idea and some details? How well can I understand what you wrote? Can you use your vocabulary to form logical sentence? Can you stay on topic and write with a main idea in mind (not just random sentences)? How well can I understand what you are saying? (pronunciation plays a role) Can you use words you have learned? (looking for mistakes such as verb forms) Can you answer my questions? Is the conversation difficult/awkward?

10 Speaking 0 Use the table below to map out your week. Include at least three actions on each day. This will give help you practice what you will say. 0 Your teacher may start the conversation by saying.
