To help people with Disabilities have choice about how we live The Aim of the Training Programme

Our Target We want to help 20 people through the programme by April 2012

To help people with Disabilities understand:- The many ways of living and how to access them Housing rules & responsibilities Housing, support & care costs and find help The importance of making friends & connecting with the community Feel able to let others know when your not happy Understand the skills needed to live happily & safely Training Programme Learning Aims

We want to do these 4 things What’s possible for me Making a decision & moving Expanding our options Living Happily in my new home

The programme is about…. Learning through information sessions And making things happen together

Programme Topics Session Areas:- 1.Introduction & the many ways of living 2.Housing rules, responsibilities & applying for a home 3.Understanding our housing, support & care needs 4.The cost of housing & help available 5.The cost of care & help available 6.Reviewing what we have learnt & making an action plan

Some Rules for the Programme 1.You need to try to come to all the sessions 2.If you are under 18 you need to bring a family member or supporter with you 3.If you live with your family you need to bring a family member with you 4.If you need a support worker to help you please bring them with you
