Angela Araújo - CMF Do you mind my singing? Use possessive before a gerund when you want to indicate the doer of the action. E.g. The kids’ singing was too loud. Your constant arguing is bugging me.

Angela Araújo - CMF Let’s read more examples I can’t stand my students’ talking while I explain grammar rules! Chris’s talking on his cell phone during meetings is anoying his boss. Maria’s smoking is worrying her boyfriend. A: “So, Ted phoned you yesterday?” B: “Yes. I still can’t believe his calling me up after all this time!”
