Welcome to Mr. Deabenderfer’s Classroom Yes everyone just calls him, Mr. D

Where do I sit? Come on in and find a place to sit. Your friends are here and so am I. Ready to begin the newest chapter of your life, Second Grade!

Going on an adventure This is an adventure that you do not want to miss! We are searching for knowledge. Do you think that you are up to the challenge?

Exploration of places Oh the places we will go this year. Not field trips, but in learning and doing.

Scary but you will learn so much in this classroom A new place A new grade level A man teacher It’s all OK We are going to have a lot of fun Oh and learn some stuff this year too!

Supply list, important but not that important Do not forget your back pack, agenda, and supplies daily. No need to purchase an agenda, it is already printed to go into a 3 ring binder. This will also have your spelling homework listed in it and just remember to bring home your packet for each week due back on Friday.

Do not worry parents I spend the first two weeks of the school year getting the students ready for my classroom and teaching style. We will spend a lot of time reading silently by themselves to prepare for the next exciting things. Oh and homework will not change for the entire nine weeks and I teach the students how to do it correctly without much help from you. If my web cite on the Rock Spring ES page works properly, I will post videos or something explaining what to do if your child forgets.

Only an away from help If you ever have a question or need to understand something better, please me. I am here to help your child reach their full potential. I want the best for your child as much as you do.
