3. Agendas Your child is to copy their assignments daily Please check each day that it is filled out and that they have completed the assignments for that night Please sign each day they are here at school – even Friday!!

4. Homework Monday – Thursday Friday only when there is a special project $5 will be charged for EACH missing/late assignment

5. Weekly Subjects Math: need to know facts!! Timed test-5 min./100 facts Reading: FCAT questions/ vocabulary; book reports/ Lucy Caulkins/ Comprehension Tool Kit Spelling: Words Your Way Language Arts: Complete complex sentences Writing: Feb. writing test; expository or narrative; 60 min. Social Studies: Florida Science: Scientific Method

6. Graded work Graded papers go home on Tuesday Any paper that is a D or U will be stapled to you child’s signature sheet. Please review them with your child and return it with the signature sheet. I will keep these on file in my room.

7. Conferences I am very flexible and can almost always accommodate you at any time I typically schedule them before or after school (8 am) or after school (3:15) I have duty on Friday so I am not available until after 3:45

9. Behavior management Students earn $15 each day they come to school They will have opportunities to spend their money on Friday for snack and/or movie To attend they can’t lose more than $20 that week or have more than 2 missing assignments Rewards days: at the end of each 9 weeks there will be a reward

11. Volunteers Please make sure you are a McKeel approved volunteer before signing up to help in the class or to go on field trips. Help Wanted: If you are interested in being the class room parent, please leave your name and phone number with me and I will contact you.
