Role of the ULR Raising awareness and promoting the value of learning Providing information on learning Working with members to identify learning needs Working with employers and other partners to improve access to learning opportunities Monitoring the quality of provision and supporting equal opportunities in learning

Every college needs a learning rep! Why college learning reps are important Supporting the college rep in building a team of activists in your college Supporting the college rep in recruiting new members NUT as an ‘Education’ Union – Supporting the college rep in retaining members by offering free training and CPD opportunities through Union membership – Working with the division ULR and other local colleges ULRs to create learning and professional development opportunities for members (cluster group opportunities)
