Who was John Calvin? He was a Frenchman He was trained as a priest and a lawyer Calvin fled France when his brother was executed

Like Luther, Calvin wrote a great deal His Institutes of the Christian Religion addressed the entire world

Calvinism was not tied to the state as Lutheranism was

What were the tenants of Calvinism? Calvin believed the Lords supper Sacrament was symbolic Catholics believed that the wine and water changed into the blood and body of Christ
