4 King Henry VIII Divorce was not allowed in the Roman Catholic Church – the only way for King Henry to get a divorce with his first wife was to reform to Protestant. This was a main cause of the Protestant Reformation in England.

ROMANS 1:17 “The righteous shall live by faith.” Luther realized that only faith (in the ultimate goodness of Jesus), not good deeds, could save a person. No good works, rituals, etc. would save a person if they did not believe.
