Shape up week in Brno Czech Republic "Health Has a Good Time" 15th – 17th May 2007

Open Door Days During Shape up week parents and the public could come to schools and have a look at Shape up corners, where children presented their project work.

Activities All activities were prepared by children, their parents and teachers with support of local facilitator and coordinator.  Climbing wall activities for the public  Athletic championship for pre-school children and children from 1st primary school classes  Interactive game about nutrition and body movement  Tasting of healthy spreads  Shape up circus  Building pictures from plastic bottles lids  Regional Institute of Public Health activities for the public  Fire Brigade activities for children

Summary The whole Shape up week had a wonderful atmosphere and Shape up schools and their surrounding was full of laughing children accompanied by their parents and grandparents for all three days. Parents were proud of their children’s achievements in the project and children enjoyed a lot of fun with activities concerning health. Also the public appreciated all the activities. Young and older children cooperated with their teachers and parents to prepare the icing on the cake of one year project work.
