We will record our most important human rights facts about countries and people all over the world. During our travels, we will learn bits of language, history and culture in order to better understand our own culture as Americans. We will follow the National Geographic Standards that are attached to this syllabus. Grades: 15% Vocab and Topic Quizzes, 25% Tests, 30% Participation, 30% Notebook and Presentations Homework Students will complete study homework on Wednesday nights and written homework on Thursday nights. There will often be a vocabulary and fact quiz on Thursdays and a test on Fridays. The quizzes and test will only cover the material introduced during that week. A quiz score will be awarded weekly for classroom decorum. Students will have a mid-term and a final drawn from the activities /assessments of the semester.
