Friday, October 9, 2009 Dear Mrs. Edmond, I think it would be fun for the teachers to show kindness to each other. One of my ideas is to have secret pals. We could draw names and then do nice things for that person. Everyone would have a pal. For example, we could leave a nice note in their mailbox, or we could leave them a small treat, or we could offer to grade some papers for them. What do you think about my idea? Sincerely, Lisa Manes

Recipe for Kindness Ingredients: 1 smile 1 helpful action 10 kind words 2 magic words: please and thank you Pinch of Respect Directions: Always use please and thank you. Speak to others with kind words. Greet others with a smile and try to find helpful things to do for others. Show respect. You will have kindness.

Lion will ask Mouse: Aren’t you scared of me? I was, but then you were so kind and let me go that I am no longer afraid of you. Why did you help me? I helped you because you didn’t eat me and let me go. I promised to help you some day. How can I repay you? I’m sure there will come a time you can help me or my family again.
