 Two of his most known paintings: Mona Lisa – 1506 The Last Supper- 1498

 Leonardo was also an inventor, but almost none of his inventions were built during his lifetime.  He’s inventions were ahead of his time period and even if they tried to built them they wouldn’t have had the tools needed. This is a sketch of a flying machine, it is based on the flight of birds. Leonardo’s sketch of a tank.

 His anatomy of the human body began with his apprenticeship to Andrea del Verrocchio, and he quickly became master of topographic anatomy. Vitruvius Man is a study of the human body, linking art and science. Leonardo’s study of a fetus in the womb.

 Leonardo Da Vinci was more than just a scientist and artist. He was also knows for being a sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, geologist, writer, and other thinks. This is why he is called “The Renaissance Men.”
