2 RENAISSANCE It was a cultural movement which started in Italy and then spread to the rest of Europe ( 14th-17th centuries)

3 WHY IS HE A GENIUS? A genius is a person with great intelligence,who shows an exceptional natural capacity of intellect. The fact that he is so good at everything he does,makes him exceptionally intelligent. his work is not only creative and original but also revolutionary

5 BIOGRAPHY He was born in Vinci,Italy, an illegitimate son of a peasant and a notary. He grew up in nature and was a vegetarian. During his life he was accused of being homosexual and was persecuted for being lefthanded

6 Right to Left Leonardo wrote in Italian using a special kind of shorthand that he invented himself He used “mirror writing,” starting at the right side of the page and moving to the left Leonardo’s Signature in a notebook

7 Leonardo the Scientist He studied many topics such as anatomy, zoology, botany, geology, optics, aerodynamics and hydrodynamics among others He was fascinated by the study of physiognomy, the “science” of evaluating a person’s character by his or her facial features
