Goal: Maintain a strong Christian community where spiritual growth of all members is fostered.

Strategies: Students and staff respect and engage with the sacred nature of religious celebrations. Religious Education Curriculum is understood and strong teaching and assessment standards apply Students and staff understand and engage with the community outreach opportunities The Charism of Nano Nagle is a focus for Christian practice

Goal: Our teaching pedagogy supports the teacher as the learning guide who assists students to demonstrate accountability for their own learning.

Strategies: Student assessment is undertaken using a variety of tools in a variety of settings over time. The Australian Curriculum is understood and embedded across St Catherine’s curriculum and pedagogical practice. Our learning spaces are flexible and cater for the interests, learning styles and goals of both students and teachers.

Strategies continued: Planning activities are data-informed and evidence- based at individual and cohort levels Our students achieve high standards in literacy and numeracy Student development is holistic and integrated Collaborative teaching practice and networks support staff development and well being

Goal: We have strong links between home, school and the Wider Community

Strategies: Parents understand the pedagogy of the Australian Curriculum and how it is applied at St Catherine’s Parents understand the role of ICLT in contemporary pedagogical practice Inclusiveness and pastoral care for students, staff and families is central to our culture

Strategies continued: Communication about individual student, school and community issues is central to the effective operation of the home and school partnership Staff actively contribute to decision making Participation and involvement by families is welcomed and encouraged Our heritage as a Presentation school is recognised and valued and contributes to our future within the Upper Mt Gravatt Wishart Parish

Goal: Resources are planned and distributed to facilitate the achievement of learning outcomes for all students

Strategies: Our learning spaces are physically comfortable and practical Budget and resourcing decisions are collaborative and transparent. The impact of the transition of Year 7 to Secondary school is effectively managed to deliver a positive experience for affected students and staff.

Strategies continued: Planning processes enable the allocation of funds to meet strategic priorities. The acquisition, funding and use of ICLT resources is strategically planned against learning outcomes The deployment and development of our staff is planned and evaluated against strategic priorities.
