You are at a neighbourhood block party. You are making small talk with your somewhat crotchety and always colourful neighbour about his shrinking kidneys when he says. “Speaking of the new fence you’re building…” You end up in a heated debate over placing the new fence-five centimetres one way or the other. 5 cm!! He finishes by threatening you with a lawsuit and you say something about him not knowing the difference between his hind end and his elbow!

 The Educational Associate provides support services to students and teachers in a school setting within the division to meet curricular outcomes. The duties of an Educational Associate will vary depending upon the special needs of student(s).

 Supervise students  Evaluate students  Mark papers  Assist students with reading  Administer meds  Arrange parent meetings  Observe students  Track behavioural data  Be familiar with SMART goals for student  Photocopy  Make doctor appointment for student  Lift objects and/or student  Work independently
