My soul was set all on fire.

Early Life Frederick Douglass was in 1818 at a wheat farm. He was a slave as a child. He learned a little from his slave owner Sophia Auld. Also as a child he saw his Aunt Hester being beaten down and whipped by Edward Covey. He taught kids younger than him with the knowledge he learned from his slave owner Sophia Auld He grew up, and got revenge on the man that beat his Aunt Hester.

Adult Life Frederick was planning to escape slavery, but he was caught and sent to jail. He got married to Anna Murray and had five children Rosetta, Lewis, Frederick, Jr., Anna, and Charles. He died in Washington D.C. February, but before he died he wrote 2 books and an autobiography on himself.

Major Accomplishments Frederick wrote an anti-slavery newspaper. He suggested to Abraham Lincoln to end slavery. He spoke up against slavery. He also gave speeches.
