Certified TI:ME directors Amy Burns & Jim Frankel taught participants several necessary skills in teaching music technology. This report will demonstrate several of those skills while presenting some of the TI:ME Level 1B course benefits. TI:ME Maryland Chapter, Summer 2008 The Maryland Chapter of TI:ME sponsored the official TI:ME Level 1B class for the benefit of music teachers.

More Participants Music Teachers from Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Maryland. Teachers created music and learned to embed it in their presentation as you can now hear (providing the computer you are currently using enables you to do so). We also learned to distribute our productions over the internet using a method called a “podcast”. Participants Analyzed different kinds of websites Blog Online Websites Wiki TI:ME Maryland Chapter, Summer 2008 Participants successfully analyzed websites which contained useful musical content for classroom use. These sites included blogs and wikis.

Participants created a newsletter TI:ME Maryland Chapter, Summer 2008 Participants created a newsletter using textboxes.

Participants created a multimedia presentation. TI:ME Maryland Chapter, Summer 2008 Participants created a multimedia project (blog, or wiki) which included a podcast, audio files, graphics and textboxes.

. June 2008 Textboxes can add a touch of professionalism to your newsletter. Create: Form Letters: create fields to personalize it. Rotating schedules: for students that have to be pulled out of class for a lesson. Create a monthly newsletter with updated information about recitals and other activities. Textboxes can add a touch of professionalism to your newsletter. Use your newsletter as an advocacy tool. Put your newsletter on your wiki as a.pdf file.
