 Mt. Etna is a composite volcano. It is the largest active volcano in Europe.  Mt. Etna is very explosive, with 4 eruptions since  Mt. Etna has pyroclastic flow which are small fragments rocks and other materials.  Mt. Etna is very active, it can erupt at any time.

EFFECTS ON HUMANS Mt. Etna effected the atmosphere because its structure makes it to where it erupts straight in the air with smoke and rock fragments. It effects the hydrosphere because it puts rock and other materials in the water when it erupts. It effects the geosphere because all the lava and other materials ooze over the land and leave all those materials and it changes the land afterwards.  Two positive effects on humans:  Volcanoes are our only real source of rock samples from deep within the earth, which is good for experimenting  Soil becomes more nutrient filled.  Two negative effects on humans:  Destruction is caused to habitat and shelter from the eruption.  Weather patterns are changed, changing in climate after eruption.

o Mt. Etna started forming 80 million years ago. o The first eruption was in 500 B.C. o Mt Etna has erupted over 200 times since then. o Its last major eruption was in 2006, when it wiped out everything around it.
