Radiation Instead heat is transferred by infra-red radiation which is in the form of waves of energy Space is a vacuum so there are no particles for heat to transfer by convection or conduction

Experiment- learning intention To safely carry out practical work while working as part of a group in order to find if the colour of a can affects heat loss.

Instruction Apparatus Shiny and black cans Thermometers timer Bunsen burner water Add 150 ml of water to a shiny and black can. Heat the water till it boils Start the timer. Measure the temperature of the water each minute for 12 minutes.
