What Do We Do? The goal of the Blood Drive Committee is to help prepare, raise awareness, and recruit for the blood drives hosted by the club Club members are encouraged to volunteer to help hand out flyers and participate at the blood drives Poster making, calling potential volunteers and advertising around the school are just some of this club’s daily activities

Our Blood Drives: Our club will be tied to a number of blood drives within the community on... October 28th November 23rd December 15th May 22nd and 23rd Our particular focus will be on the December 15th blood drive which will be located at the public works and utilities building As well as our school blood drive in May, during which our goal is to collect double what we collected last year

Who here has given blood?

Goals for this year’s Blood Drives: Promote the Facts! Misconceptions vs. Facts _ With parental consent you are eligible to donate blood at the age of 16 All equipment used is sterile and only trained professionals draw blood Less than 5% of the eligible population donates blood The process of giving blood takes less than an hour and you won’t have the needle in your arm for more than 10 minutes of it I’m not old enough It’s dangerous Plenty of people donate so I shouldn’t have to I don’t have time
