BIBLICAL FOUNDATION Each human being is created in the image of God. (Gen. 1:26-27) You were created with a unique, specially chosen blend of gifts. (Psalm 139:13-16) God has in mind specific good works for you to accomplish. (Eph. 2:10) Variety of gifts – one God. (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

SPIRITUAL GIFTS All believers have been given spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit. Spiritual gifts are distributed according to God’s will, not because of some effort on our part. In the body of Christ, each of us has something to contribute.

UNDERSTANDING SPIRITUAL GIFTS Spiritual gifts are not just for spiritual leaders. All spiritual gifts are supernatural, but some are more sensational. Life gifts have many applications; spiritual gifts are given to carry out God’s purposes. We can learn through study and practice to use the gifts we have more effectively.

HOW TO SCORE YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS HELPS I tend to notice and assist with practical tasks that need to be done. As I do routine tasks, I feel a spiritual link to the ministries or people I serve. I would rather be responsible for set tasks than be involved in leadership. I prefer to work behind the scenes and often avoid public recognition for what I do. I receive satisfaction through quietly serving others. I enjoy working on odd jobs, often seeing a need and tending to it without being asked. ___ Overall rating (5 = definitely a gift, 1 = definitely not a gift)
