Main needs of electricity system of the Czech Republic RG NSI-EAST, Meeting of TEN-E, 22 January 2019

Czech Republic internal 400kV lines reinforcement and new CZ-SK interconnector to increase capacity in the north-south west-east direction

The high priority needs of the Czech electricity system Increasing the transmission capacity in the north-south west-east direction and facilitate power evacuation from high RES generation sites of Germany; RES integration (directly into the transmission system and from the distribution network); Security of supply (consumption increase, decommissioning of old hard coal power plants); Increasing system flexibility and stability and helping in reducing of infrastructure vulnerability in the south-west-east direction in the Czech grid.
