WHO WE ARE WHAT WE DO Historic civil rights organization providing free, direct services to African Americans and minorities Network of 90 Affiliates in 36 states and the District of Columbia Two millions individuals in 300 communities served each year National leader influencing civil rights policy and legislation through our Washington Bureau Localized services with accountable, standardized, centralized and data-informed national management structure Provide access to jobs with a living wage and good benefits Prepare youth for college, work, and life Ensure safe, decent, affordable and energy efficient housing on fair terms Improve access to quality and affordable health care solutions Promote equal rights and responsibility to fully participate in our democracy and civic processes, and all people have a right to justice and fairness
