Announcements/Reminders Spelling / Vocabulary Words A PEEK AT OUR WEEK Your 5th Grade Newsletter August 7-9, 2019 Wish List This is where we will post items needed in our classrooms. For now, the only thing we need is for all students to have all of the required supplies listed on the supply list. Announcements/Reminders Topics & Tests *This is your first 5th grade newsletter! Newsletters will be sent home each Monday. Please look for them in the newsletter page protector in your child’s binder. *Please sign calendars DAILY. *We will send home classroom policies and procedures in the next few days after we review them with the class. *Please help your child keep his/her binder tidy. The “Keep at Home” pocket should be emptied daily. *We will be working on organizing our binders this week. It might take a couple of days to get it the way it needs to be. Thank you for your patience! *Thank you for all of the classroom donations you’ve sent in already! We appreciate your support! *Please write a note if your child’s transportation changes for the day or for the week. Please DO NOT write this note in the agenda, as the note will be sent to the office. The office will not be able to accept transportation changes over the phone. *Students are now allowed only FIVE parent notes per semester. For your convenience, we have placed five note templates in a page protector in your child’s binder. All you will have to do is fill them out and return them to school within five days of the absence. After five parent notes, only doctor notes will be accepted. Please see the handbook for further info regarding new attendance policies. *If you have not signed up for our Remind, please do so ASAP. Simply text @koscwick to 81010. This is where we will normally post topics for the week, as well as inform you of any upcoming tests or quizzes.
