Science *Unit 2: The Engineering Process *Lesson 1 Pages 63-73 *Practice Science Vocabulary at (refer to your Password Page to search) Announcements/Reminders *Check out the monthly School Calendar to keep up to date on events and due dates. *Please sign your child’s calendar every night. *Math HW Quizzes will be every Monday. Quizzes will consist of five questions taken directly from the previous week’s HW. Please review HW with your child each night. Students are checking their work in class each day as we review and discuss the HW. They should be correcting their answers and recording the steps for solving those they missed. *T-Shirt order forms and money are due September 6th. *Progress Reports go home September 5th. Common Assessments Sept. 26-Oct. 4 *TCAP scores in grades 3-5 will be calculated as 15% of a student’s second semester average in reading math, science, and social studies unless the BOE decides otherwise due to testing issues. *If your child does not have his/her multiplication facts memorized, please work on them at home. It is imperative to their success in math this year.
