Curriculum Overview Key Stage: KS4 Subject: Photography Academic Year 2019-20 Year Unit content Autumn 1 Autumn 2 Spring 1 Spring2 Summer 1 Summer 2 GCSE Component 1: Choice of colour Students will undertake an exam question from last year’s exam, which has been chosen for the successful outcomes produced from this question Component 2: Questions to be released by AQA in Spring term of the academic year Formal elements: Thematic elements Lighting Texture repetition Compositional elements Rule of thirds Framing Leading lines Symmetry 60% of assessment of final grade Students will complete an e-folio containing Contact sheets Digital image manipulation Physical image manipulation Leading to final pieces printed in A5 and A4 formats 40% of assessment of final grade Formatively assessed in preparation for Autumn term. Topics covered will support students in annotating and evaluating their work later on in the course.
