Other remarks?) 1 An Ordinance Enacting the Green Building Regulations of Angeles City and For Other Purposes "2018 Green Building Regulation of Angeles City" Pending at the Committee Level Strong opposition of some committee members in the specific provision on the establishment of a new department (Angeles City Green Building Authority) The ordinance is for the purpose of improving efficiency of buildings in the use of natural resources, contributing to the global efforts in reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and minimizing impact of buildings on health and environment through Green Building Regulations Identified in the LCCAP Section 7. Green Building Regulations which comprises of 7.1 Energy Efficiency, 7.2 Water Efficiency, 7.3 Materials and Waste Management, and 7.4 Indoor Environmental Quality Not yet implemented There is a strong opposition of some committee members in the specific provision on the establishment of a new department (Angeles City Green Building Authority) under Section 10. These committee members are saying that all functions that need to be undertaken can be subsumed to the City Engineering Office (CEO)/Office of the City Building Official (OCDO) and does not warrant a need of a new department.

Other remarks?) 2 An Ordinance Requiring All Business Establishments Operating in Angeles City to Conduct a Greening Program at Least Once a Year as a Requirement for the Issuance of Business Permit and For Other Purposes "Greening Ordinance of Angeles City" Approved (Ordinance No. 456, Series of 2018) July 9, 2018 An ordinance requiring all business establishments operating in Angeles City to conduct a greening program at least once a year at any available area, preferably within the territorial jurisdiction of Angeles City Identified in the LCCAP Section 5. Greening Program. All business establishments operating in Angeles City are hereby required to conduct a Greening Program at least once a year at any available area, preferably within the territorial jurisdiction of Angeles City. Partial implementation There are still areas of improvement when it comes to the implementation of this. There is a need to make an overall plan that should be in line with the decision areas identified in the LCCAP, i.e. urban heat hot spots. Section 6. Greening Program Certificate. Prior to the issuance or renewal of Environment Management Permit (EMP), business establishments shall secure a Greening Program Certificate from CENRO, provided, that the following conditions have been satisfied: a. Small-scale business establishments: 1. Donation of three (3) trees plus their number of employees b. Medium-scale business establishments: 1. Donation of fifty (50) trees plus their number of employees c. Large-scale business establishments: 1. Donation of fifty (50) trees plus their number of employees and a program in the barangay. 2. Conducting a tree-planting activity on a site specified or approved by the concerned barangay. The barangay was given the authority to identify areas where to plant trees and what kind of trees they will be needing. Also, with the supervision and coordination of CENRO and City Agriculture. 3. Adopting a tree planting site specified or approved by the concerned barangay 4. Prepare, develop, and maintain tree-planting site 5. Provide permanent signage to identify the site.
