8 Greenhouse Gas Tracking
Partner with ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability to manage data according to international standards. Evaluations are conducted for both the Municipal and Community-wide scales. Inter-departmental and regional organization collaboration is required to collect data. Recently switched from reporting every 4-5 years to annually. Will help with understanding and responding to data trends. Data collected in GHG Inventory is used in our Sustainability Plan metrics dashboard.

9 Greenhouse Gas Reporting
Reports are published and shared on the City’s website for public readership. Data results are presented to the City Council Committee on the Environment and the City Council for their review and feedback. Summary charts for GHG emissions are a combination of metrics generated through ICLEI’s ClearPath software and customized internal data analysis. Full transparency on methodologies and data sourcing is a key component. Some Cities choose to have their reports verified by a third party.
