Collecting Data for Career Clusters Scott Hess, Chief, Effective Practices Branch, Discretionary Programs and Innovative Group, OVAE John Haigh, Chief, Performance and Accountability Branch, State Accountability and Administration Group, OVAE

Collecting Data for Career Clusters Unduplicated enrollment data is reported by populations (gender, ethnicity & special populations) as before. The 16 Career Cluster Areas will be added this year. The total enrollment should include both secondary & postsecondary subtotals. The form for Basic Grants & Tech-Prep are the same.

Collecting Data for Career Clusters Step 1 – Report the unduplicated count. Step 2 – Assign programs/sequences of courses to appropriate clusters. Step 3 – Report total student enrollment for each cluster area.

Collecting Data for Career Clusters Not-provided (N/P) Vs. “0”. Local vs. state reported data Local application & performance reporting Non-traditional issues & clusters

Collecting Data for Career Clusters Reporting Enrollment by Cluster, Issues: Definition of a CTE concentrator & participant, Duplicated vs. unduplicated counts in clusters, Combining or splitting clusters, & Cell suppression in clusters
