cinnamon cinnamon [noun] a sweet-smelling brown substance used for giving a special taste We need cinnamon to make apple pies.

peel [verb] to take the skin off of a fruit or vegetable We need to peel this potato before we cook it.

recipe [noun] a set of instructions for cooking or preparing a dish Can you give me a recipe for tomato soup? I’d like to make some tonight!

flour [noun] made from wheat, usually for baking bread and cakes Please get me some flour from the market. We are baking a cake tonight!

mixture mixture [noun] a liquid or other substance made by mixing several substances together Fill the bread with a mixture of lettuce and salmon.

crust [noun] the baked outer part of foods, such as pies and pizzas Tom does not like to eat sandwiches with crusts. He thinks the crust is too hard. He always cuts them off.
