Analysis

Session Objective Understand how to analyse data on the server © Smap Consulting Pty Ltd2

Tech Tip - Browser Refresh Ctrl F5 Command - R

1 - PANELS (c) Smap Consulting Pty Ltd4

Purpose of panels Panels allow you to get quick insight into the survey results They are not a substitute for an analysis tool such as SAS, Excel or a GIS Data can be shown at a whole of of survey level, for example a table showing all records and all questions, or as a single question optionally grouped by another question (c) Smap Consulting Pty Ltd5

Managing Panels Panel Actions – Adding – Re-sizing – Moving – Editing – Adding to a report – Deleting Beware of! – Too many table panels If you have large surveys with thousands of records and hundreds of columns then drawing these as tables in the browser can take some time. In these cases it is a good idea to only have one large table panel at any one time. © Smap Consulting Pty Ltd6

Adding a panel and resizing (c) Smap Consulting Pty Ltd7 Add a panel Resize

Changing settings and data view (c) Smap Consulting Pty Ltd8 Change data view Edit settings

4 – EXPORTING RESULTS (c) Smap Consulting Pty Ltd15 Basic

Surveys with Repeating Groups © Smap Consulting Pty Ltd16 This survey has 1) a repeating group to get information of all the household members 2) a second repeating group to get information on the vehicles that the household has Then for each vehicle there is another repeating group to get all the faults for that vehicle
