Why are they endangered? One of the big reasons Galapagos turtles are on the brink of extinction, is that people are taking their eggs, and trading their eggs for something else because the eggs are very expensive .

Galapagos Turtle!!!!!! The Galapagos Turtle is an turtle that lives on the Galapagos Island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The Galapagos Male Turtles weigh 115 pounds (51 Kg). The Females are somewhat smaller. Their population is 15,000 from 250,000.
