2 Habitat They live near coastlines and around islands and in bays. They especially are found in areas with sea grass beds.

3 Identification Adults are 3.5 to 4 feet in carapace length. The green sea turtle is green and it has a single claw on each flipper. A green sea turtle weighs 300 to 400 pounds.

4 Food It eats worms, young crustaceans, insects, grasses and algae.

5 Threats The harm is commercial harvest for eggs and food.

6 Shell Pattern

7 Reproduction They lay eggs every 2 to 3 or more years. At least 115 eggs. It takes about 60 days to hatch.
