2 Quick Facts Asian elephants stand 8 to 10 feet tall.
Females weigh 6,000 pounds and males weigh up to 11,900 pounds. They live approximately 80 years. Asian elephants eat about 330 pounds daily. They eat grass, bark, roots and leaves. Baby elephants (a.k.a, calves) weigh between pounds. Asian elephants drink 25 to 50 gallons of water everyday.

3 Habitat Asian elephants can be found in isolated areas such as - India
-Southeast Asia -Sumatra -Borneo -and many more places

4 Why are they in endangered?
They are in endangered because - hunters are capturing them for the ivory tusks to create figures and engravings. human population is increasing and their habitations are decreasing. trees have been cut down causing the elephant not to have enough to eat.

5 Ways to help the elephant
If people don’t buy the ivory tusks, then hunters won’t kill or hunt the Asian elephants. Write letters to organizations telling them that you agree with their policies.
