What advantages does the vampire bat have Vampire bats have special adaptations that help them with their unique feeding needs. Unlike some other species of bats vampire bats can run, walk and jump. They have very strong hind legs that help them take off from predators.

What environment does the vampire bat live in? They live in caves, mines, tree hollows and abandon buildings. They live almost every were in the world.

How did the vampire bat adapt to its environment? It adapted because it is cold and dark. They adapted to the cold they can keep their body temperature warm. They adapted to the dark by their good eye sight.

Has mankind caused changes? No mankind has not caused changes.

Fun facts about the vampire bat These bats are so light that they are some times able to drink blood up to 30 minutes without waking it up. Vampire bats can carry rabies, making their bites potentially dangerous. There are over 1,000 different bat species. THE END
