Higher order questions/ELLs Lesson Topic(s):Addition Week of:3/18-3/22 Objectives: Students will apply mathematical process to solve addition problems. TEKS: Numbers and Operations. The student applies mathematical process standards to develop and understanding of addition and subtraction situations in order to solve problems. Essential Question: How do we solve addition problems to real world problems using concrete objects? Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Lesson Plan Whole group discussion/modeling of addition. Finding sum in math journals Card flip and solve with partners. Solve addition facts in math journals Partners play addition game. Complete the addition facts on the color sheet as a class. Students color the sheet using the sums. Addition facts in math journals Domino math game with partners Students will participate in a whole group counting and number recognition activity. Partners will play number recognition and writing activities.
