API 6A 20th Edition / ISO 10423:2009 The Problem: Figure 3 (c) defines the geometry and ER of the keel block QTC in terms of “R”. Footnote f identifies the circle labeled as 0,25R as the “Envelope for test specimen removal. The sections that specify the requirements for removal of the tensile test specimens and impact test specimens from the QTC utilize terminology related to the “¼ T envelope”. The R dimension does not appear to be properly linked to the T dimension.
