Storytelling and More! – After Storytelling

Whole Group Discussion What do you usually do after storytelling as a follow-up activity? Share an example with the group. Preview 1 With the whole group, ask this question and call on two or three participants to share an example of something they do after storytelling.

Whole Group Discussion What are some follow-up activities you can do after storytelling? Review 1 Ask participants the question. Ask for a few examples. Possible Answers: 1. Check predictions. 2. Reorder the story (using pictures or sentence strips). 3. Retell the story 4. Role play the story. Have participants complete their handout by listing examples of after-­storytelling activities.
