What IS stress? A physical, mental, or emotional tension you feel when dealing with a situation or change. Stress will always be a factor in your life.

What Causes Stress? Stressor: anything that causes a stress response. Not all stressors are the same for everyone. Not all stressors are bad. “Positive” stressor example: “Negative” stressor example:

POSITIVE STRESS - EUSTRESS Stress keeps you alert. Some stress helps you avoid danger. Stress can motivate you to take action and work harder. Stress helps in competitions to do well. Stress can strengthen you to handle hard things.

Negative stress - distress Holds you back from accomplishing goals. Interferes with your ability to concentrate. Being “Stressed Out!”
