Presentation transcript:

All day, every day, the role of a leader in the GLR is to … The GLR Leadership Development team reviewed dozens of industry resources on the what the best leaders in the world are great at. After reviewing, they condensed it down to three main objectives. Provide Clarity Set clear expectations and objectives, and provide timely feedback. Build Confidence Build trust and value each team member through listening, development, and personalized recognition. Propel Team Success Create high performance on common goals through collaboration and innovation.

How to leverage these objectives … It couldn’t be easier to put these to use starting today. Here are a few ideas of how to get started. Commit them to memory So you can easily recall them in just a few seconds. Do them more The simplest way to be a better manager is to do these things more often. Use them to prepare Heading into a staff meeting or one-on-one? Plan on how you will provide clarity, build confidence, and propel team success. Reflect on your own leadership At the end of a meeting or interaction, ask yourself, “Did I provide clarity? Did I build confidence? Did I propel team success?” Look for connections You will get advice on how to be a good leader from everywhere – both from the company and from external sources. Look for how the advice aligns with these three objectives. Instead of being overwhelmed, you’ll find motivating connections and insights. Provide Clarity Build Confidence Propel Team Success
